{"id":6564,"date":"2019-04-08T13:57:57","date_gmt":"2019-04-08T11:57:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stanislasjourdan.fr\/?p=6564"},"modified":"2019-12-16T00:41:55","modified_gmt":"2019-12-15T23:41:55","slug":"report-positive-money-aligning-monetary-policy-climate-change","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stanislasjourdan.fr\/en\/2019\/04\/08\/report-positive-money-aligning-monetary-policy-climate-change\/","title":{"rendered":"REPORT: Aligning monetary policy with the European Union&#8217;s climate targets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this new report co-authored with Wojtek Kalinowski, we confirm and deepen the analysis previously <a href=\"http:\/\/www.positivemoney.eu\/2017\/06\/grantham-lse-paper-climate-impact-cspp\/\">produced by the Grantham Institute<\/a> and others, which pointed to a mismatch between the EU&#8217;s climate objectives and the CSPP programme of the European Central Bank<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Our new<\/b><b> study shows that the Eurosystem invests more than 110 billion euros (or nearly 63% of the program) towards the four sectors that contribute the most to global warming<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (fossil fuel extraction and distribution, the automotive sector, the most energy intensive industries, electricity generation).
